The Chapel of the Cross belongs to the entire UNC and Chapel Hill community. And in 2016, we’re launching a raft of new outreach programs to make sure everyone knows how welcome they are.

It takes all kinds to make up a town, a campus, and a ministry. The freshman who wonders if his faith will endure outside the familiar family routine. The upperclassman who wonders if what she feels is a vocational calling. The transfer who isn’t sure whether “church” is for her. The military veteran who can’t see the place faith might play in his new life — and the one who can’t imagine life without it.

My Spiritual Awakening is a program for undergraduate students and fellow community members to awaken and teach the language of vocation, the practice of discernment, and the implementation of supportive spiritual disciplines while nurturing spiritual friendships, mentoring relationships within a sacramentally based community as these awarenesses and spiritual practices are melded into daily faith and life.

Thanks to a generous grant from Lilly Foundation, COTC’s Episcopal campus Ministry (ECM) and the University Ministry Advisory Council (UMAC) are bringing the word to everyone who makes our community the special place it is. No matter who you are or what you want from a campus ministry, you have a place here.
